"I just finished up a really fun project—a paper record player wedding invitation! In the booklet-style invitation, a bit of paper-folding amplifies the sound of a sewing needle moving along the grooves of a flexidisc record. The hand-spun record yields a garbled, but scrutable listening of an original song by the couple. It requires a bit of tinkering and folding —effectively championing the inner science-nerd kid in the recipient. The whole thing serves as an interactive packaging for the song—which can be experienced on the paper record player, unscrewed + set on a regular turntable, or enjoyed online (for the non-nerds and/or audiophiles out there.) "

Nova Contemporary Culture

"A sincere DIY documentary film on new art and the young artists behind it. Directed by Isaac Niemand, and produced by ROJO® in collaboration with BossaNovaFilms, it was all filmed on the heat of live action at ®Nova Contemporary Culture which happened in July and August 2010, in MIS-Museum of Image and Sound, and SESC Pompeia, in São Paulo, Brazil."

Nova Contemporary Culture is an "interactive, full-environmental experience utilizing color, light, textures, music and design, in the form of collaborative and integrated compositions by a wide range of artists from around the world. From hand-made illustrations to large scale murals to modern digital art; moving image to multimedia convergence, art will be made without the limitations or restrictions of traditional format and will rely heavily on the magic of live improvisation. The Flaming Lips Release New Single, Divided Into 12 YouTube Videos

The Flaming Lips released their new single divided into 12 tracks to be played simultaneously, and the 12 tracks are into 12 different videos uploaded on the band's youtube channel

so if you want to play the song you have to form a group of 12 people with a web connected device and play simultaneosly the different tracks that form the song.

The Flaming Lips are not at their first trial in this experimental field, in 1997 they released

"Zaireeka" the album consists of four compact discs and "was designed so that when played simultaneously on four separate audio systems, the four CDs would produce a harmonic or juxtaposed sound. The discs can also be played in different combinations, omitting one, two or three discs".
